Chaos erupted on Tuesday morning when a group of youth stormed the area protesting unfair dismissal from their jobs and accusing their supervisors of being corrupt and embezzling their savings. They demanded for their savings.

Following the incident, four people have been arrested for allegedly withholding the women's money and therefore causing such chaos.

Thika OCPD Mr Erastus Muthamia said:
"We have been handed four suspects said to have been holding the money by the supervisors and we are interrogating them. If they gave the women their money we could have avoided such chaos.
