FIGHT AGAINST 2nd GENERATION BREWS STILL INTACT IN THIKA TOWN

Police in Thika Town have this afternoon  raided New Fulilia Bar & Restaurant  along Uhuru Street and confiscated thousands of wines and spirits liquor that were on sale in the bar.

Led by the area chief and some boys from Kiandutu Slums, they stormed the bar with metal bars and axes, and catching the waiters and their patrons unaware. They destroying the brews they were taking and some that were at the counter.

The brews swarm all the way and cold be seen flowing from the bar into the drainage system outside. They then, in the presence of the members of the fourth estate and the management of the bar,did the inventory of all the brews that had been confiscated before they were bundled in sacks and cartons into two police land cruisers.
The exercise attracted quite a large crowd of curious on lookers who wanted to get witness what was going. Some 'wamunyotas' could be overheard pleading with the police to at least let them drink the brews instead of taking it to the Police Station.
