EXPANSION OF KENYATTA HIGHWAY NOW UNDERWAY

Kenyatta Highway along the Gatitu exit/entry in Thika is a beehive of activities due to the on-going road expansion exercise.This has created too much traffic congestion since Monday this week where vehicle have to be diverted to other routes in order to ease traffic.

Motorists getting into Town from Garissa Road have to use the dusty side way  along the road to reach town. There is no way out of town via Kenyatta Highway. Vehicles getting out of town can either use the exit route just opposite Barclays Bank, through the Thika Fire station via Eton Hotel to connect to Garissa Road near the Town's public cemetery. or exit through Blue Post Hotel route.

The expansion is set to ease the traffic snarl ups which have been the norm every day during the pick-hours.
