KENYA 2nd BEST IN E.A. & 51st WELL GOVERNED IN THE WORLD.

The latest report, released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Monday, put Kenya as the second best governed country in East Africa, after Rwanda but stood at 51st position globally. Burundi came last in the East African countries and 121st at global level. The survey ranked the Qatar government as the most efficient, followed by Singapore and Finland in third place. Rwanda was ranked as Africa’s most efficient government followed by Mauritius and South Africa in the Global Competitive Report 2014-2015. The country was also ranked the 7th most efficient government globally. The annual survey evaluates the efficiency of 144 of the world’ s governments on measures including wastefulness in government spending, burden of regulation and transparency of policymaking, to produce an overall global ranking.
